About this Career OpportunityThe Medical Assistant will assist clinicians and medical staff to provide thorough, up-to-date care and perform a broad range of clinical administrative duties.

Essential functions and specific duties include:
Clinical patient careTake patient historiesPerform procedures and tests including phlebotomyClinical administrationDocument notes in EHR (Athena)Coordinate referrals, diagnostics, prescriptions, and proceduresMaintain equipment and suppliesCross-train and assist with front office duties as neededPatient educationAssist with online and in-person nutrition education programsTrain patients on proper usage of health monitoring devicesClinical researchAssist with research protocols including participant assessments and group education and support classesThis is a full-time position based in Washington, DC (Friendship Heights on Metro's Red Line).
