Experience:
For the GS-13, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes expert knowledge of, and skill in applying a wide range of real estate principles, policies, and methodologies, as well as an in-depth understanding of the real estate market to acquire and manage properties with diverse and unusual characteristics; and/or dispose of property. Experience developing plans, policies and procedures governing real property acquisition, management and disposal activities, sustainability, market research, and conducting program evaluations. In addition, you must have knowledge of, and skill in oral and written communication techniques and methods in order to conduct compliance reviews and prepare reports.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
