508 Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Position Description: As a Section 508 Subject Matter Expert (SME), you must be able to develop Section 508 Accessibility policies, procedures, communications and training. In addition, the qualified candidate will demonstrate advanced knowledge of Section 508, W3C WCAG 2.0 and other accessibility-related technology, conduct assessments, implement testing processes, provide remediation recommendations and ensure successful execution of remediation plans. Lastly, the qualified candidate will have experience successfully leading a team of 508 specialists. Your future duties and responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of policies and procedures for the agencies Section 508 Accessibility Program. Serve as a source of expertise concerning Section 508 accessibility remediation, and educate clients through training programs on Section 508 standards, and the use of Section 508 tools Consult with stakeholders to understand specific goals and needs. Recommend Section 508 remediation solutions / improvements related to service offerings, processes and artifacts. Develop test plans, test schedules, and present time estimation for testing activities to be performed. Supervise development of detailed findings to document identified issues and recommend potential solutions and best practices for remediation and accessibility violations. Lead Section 508 program governance and oversight digital services and technology covered under the Section 508 law. Assess the maturity of the existing Section 508 program, develop goals and an action plan, and obtain support to improve the program's maturity. Measure and report on the effectiveness of compliance program and activities. Ensure team performs complete audits and validation testing on software and documents, based on upon Section 508 and/or W3C WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines. Provide technical assistance and remediation guidance to 508 specialists. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: DHS Trusted Tester or able to obtain DHS Trusted Tester Certification within 30 days. Expert in 508 compliance and how it applies to ICT. Previous team lead or management experience overseeing a small group of specialists. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess business requirements. Experience Supporting a Federal Client preferred. Have knowledge of tools used for secondary compliance testing, such as JAWS, Dragon, and Zoom. Experience with accessibility tools, specifically Compliance Sheriff and PAC 3 PDF/UA Checker. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Professional. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within restricted timeframes. Detail oriented, able to work independently, self-motivated, proactive team player. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language with excellent communication skills. A bachelors degree in technology, business or related field.. A minimum of 5 years experience working on Section 508 testing and remediation projects. Ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment on-site during normal business hours (9am-5pm) in Suitland, MD. Skills: SDLC Web Content Management Systems

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
