PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The data warehouse system provides a view of survey data over time, across surveys, and from different data capture and cost sources at one time; all of the data is in one place to view, analyze, and make more efficient and effective decisions. It allows for the customization and storage of canned reports and for the export of report information. The front-end runs through a browser and is programmed using tools from the SAS eBI suite as well as with base SAS programs other reports are produced in Tableau. The back-end is a staging area that resides in Oracle database and a modified star-schema data warehouse built on it. The programs used to extract, transform and load (ETL) data are written in PL/SQL, Java, and Linux shell scripts.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Big Data Architect will provide big data technical expertise to architect big data solutions.
Leverage their highly specialized application and operational environment skills to design, install and configure big data solutions.
Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed designs which will include assessing and choosing among numerous options the appropriate tools to meet the requirements.
This includes demonstrated leadership with open source and/or commercial products from an ecosystem such as Hadoop - for example, Nifi, Sqoop, Hive, Hbase, Spark, etc. to provide capabilities such as data workflow/integration, transformation, parallelization, access and dissemination, security to address business needs.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in CS, IST or a related field of study
Requires 10+ years of experience designing and building IT solutions with 5+ years of experience specific to architecting enterprise-scale solutions.
Ability to pass a US Government Background investigation (national agency check, Secret or TS not required).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
