Scientific Analyst (Pending contract award)

STC is actively seeking motivated and talented individuals to support research, development and operations at the National Weather Service in College Park, MD. The Scientific Analyst II will support or directly analyze, design, code, and document complex applications to develop numerical modeling and weather prediction; perform technical tasks using both standard and nonstandard analysis, design, and programming methods and techniques; and analyze problems in terms of such factors as user requirements, input data and form, output data and form, available computer configuration, processing turnaround requirements, input and output checking, and overall problem-schedule requirements. Required Skills: The Scientific Analyst II shall have three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in performing routine design, coding, and documentation of application programs for computers and related equipment used for scientific projects. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Atmospheric Science, Oceanography, Other Physical Sciences, Engineering, Physics, Astronomy, or Mathematics.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
