Job Description:
The General Cleaner will work under the direction of the assigned Project Manager and provide custodial services as directed.
There is a full range of custodial duties related to the care, maintenance and cleaning of all assigned buildings.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Keep supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered.
Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and related fixtures including drinking fountains:
custodial mop sinks, restroom sinks, urinals and toilets.
Replenish supplies in restrooms.
Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip and polish floors and equipment.
Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures and equipment Wash windows, mirrors and walls.
Wash tables and chairs as required.
Empty, clean and sanitize waste receptacles.
Identify and report building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.
Sweeps and mops floors and vacuum carpets.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or on duty Lead.
Payrate:
$22.
38 Hourly Job Requirements:
Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role.
Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and hazardous components.
Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
Very good physical condition and strength.
Ability to communicate effectively.
High school diploma is preferred but not required.
Pursuant to Government Contract, you must be a U.
S.
Citizen.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
