Responsibilities:
Support program science through internal and external communications support, particularly in the areas of report writing and editing.
Provide communications support to technical and non-technical audiences, including, but not limited to, website content development, writing and copyediting, analyzing communication opportunities and suggesting new ones, and social media management and content development.
Support alignment of LEO communication goals and activities with NESDIS and NOAA goals and activities.
Provide communication support for Proving Ground and Risk Reduction Portfolio, and monthly science seminars, including development of the annual science digest and the proving ground risk reduction portfolio and progress reports.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications or in a related discipline.

years of relevant experience.
5
years professional experience in corporate, agency or public-sector communications roles.
Excellent writing, editing, oral communications, communications planning, issues and project management skills.
Able to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative business relationships.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding.
